The great, iconic comedian Norm MacDonald has died of cancer at 61 years old.

Part of my sense of humor today (such as it is) is informed by Norm. He was bold, honest, cruel, and deadly with those last-second gut punches. He had an indescribable delivery. Part crank, part teddy bear, the Canadian comedian was such an endearing personality for anybody not named O.J. Simpson.

Norm spent a lot of time ripping into O.J. Simpson during the “Trial of the Century” in the mid-nineties, but he really brought the house down on Saturday Night Live with this kill shot:
