I think the major problem with us gays is the general lack of family something most humane need to find purpose and meaning in life. Sure if you happen to be gay say in the US or Europe maybe you can have a family or even children (adoption or surrogates or other) but being gay in unfriendly places deprives us of that basic need so we lead semi-empty lives. As we watch fathers and mothers and siblings die, we grow bitter and more isolated than ever. We feel we dont belong. I feel I don’t belong.



Well, there are plenty of straight people without families or living sad or lonely lives, too. I just don’t think about it in terms of “poor gay people” being the only ones dealing with that. It’s just part of being human, being alive.
