These days there are a lot of bands trying to capitalize on the “frat bro” persona that girls find so hot, but nobody can match the Red Hot Chili Peppers for pure Alpha bro sexiness. That’s particularly true of frontman Anthony Kiedis.
I’m not sure what it is about Kiedis that makes him so Alpha. It may be his chiseled-in-granite face or his muscular body. Primarily, though, it is his bro-like confidence and punky aesthetic that makes him feel like an Alpha. He’s dangerous and cool and self-effacing, those qualities mixed haphazardly in a sweaty, energetic cocktail of testosterone.
I think I first became aware of Kiedis’ sexuality when “Give It Away” burst onto MTV and the airwaves in 1991. Even then I knew there was something different about him.
